Our exciting new range of fitness classes in Dumfries are designed to get your fit and active in 2013. All our classes are based at our new Palmerston Studio, 36 Terregles Street, Dumfries. We offer classes to suit different tastes and fitness levels, so you’re sure to find something that appeals to you. We believe exercise should be enjoyable, not punishment! Whatever your health and fitness goals, we can help.
With summer holidays on the horizon, we’ve added some exciting classes to help you get that fantastic beach body! As well as our regular, popular classes including Kettlebells, Zumba, Body Blast and Aerobics, we’re adding even more exciting and innovative workouts to give you even greater choice. New classes include Beach Body Circuits, Fitball, Legs, Bums and Tums and Women’s Running Group.
All classes start from Monday, 29 April 2013 unless otherwise stated.

An exciting blend of Latin and international dance styles set to pulsating music. Key elements include merengue, salsa, reggaeton and cumbia. Ideal for women who want to have fun and get fit. Suitable for all fitness levels.
A complete cardio and conditioning workout using Russia’s best-kept training secret – the kettlebell. This challenging, fun workout will raise your metabolism and burn LOADS of calories to get your body in great shape for the Christmas party season. Kettlebells of different weights will be used according to exercise demands and participant fitness levels.
Fitfun for Parents and Toddlers
No childcare, no problem! A fun but effective body conditioning class designed to appeal to both parents and toddlers. Have you noticed how easily and naturally young children can squat, lunge, do planks and many other conditioning exercises? Our fun routines will incorporate these exercises and more. Includes classic and modern 3D toning routines, dance and floor-based Pilates exercises and fun flexibility work. No lower age limit but your wee one must be able to walk (or toddle!)
Tone it up
A fast-moving blend of creative 3D total body conditioning routines to tone and shape your body and improve ‘problem’ areas. A variety of equipment including body bars, dumbbells, Dynabands, tubing and Bender balls is used to increase intensity. Suitable for all fitness levels.
A fun yet challenging class to improve abdominal and back strength and tone using Swiss balls, Bender balls, bands and tubing. Includes standing and floor-based routines set to modern, chilled music.
A blend of modern 3D functional techniques and classical Pilates exercises to improve muscle tone, core strength, balance and posture. Includes standing and floor work set to a contemporary soundtrack. Suitable for different fitness levels as exercises are graded and participants can progress at their own pace.
An exhilirating, high energy hi/lo aerobics workout set to old skool and modern dance music. This workout will boost your cardio fitness, burn calories, increase your energy levels and lift your mood. The ideal feelgood class for women who enjoy a choreographed workout.
Fitness Pole Dancing/Burlesque
A sassy total body workout for women who want to get fit and have loads of fun! You’ll learn pole dance techniques and how to put them together into fun, feelgood routines. Suitable for women of all ages and abilities. Beginners welcome.
Old Skool Step
It’s been a long time! A retro step workout featuring basic but challenging choreography. Fab music, lots of fun and a great cardio and conditioning workout.
An invigorating blend of energising cardio routines and the best body conditioning exercises to help you lose weight and body fat and tone up fast. Set to a pumping soundtrack, you’ll work hard to maximise calorie burn. And your metabolism will be higher long after your workout has finished! All exercises are graded to accommodate different fitness levels.
Monthly Payment Plans
The following Plans are available for clients who want to attend lots of classes regularly. All our Plans are excellent value and you can choose from options. Each Plan will give you a designated number of classes over a four week period. As we know life can be unpredictable at times, there’es no need to attend the same classes or even same number of classes each week. As long as you use up your class allocation within the four week period.
12 classea per month (average of 3 classes a week) £30.00
16 classes per month (average of 4 classes a week) £33.00.
20 classes per month (average of 5 classes a week) £35.00.
Unlimited number of classes for 4 weeks £40.00. Limited availability.
How do I pay?
Please pay in cash at the Studio and you’ll be issued with a member’s card for your chosen Plan.
How will I keep track of my class numbers?
Your card will be signed off by your instructor each time you attend a class.
What if I forget my renewal date?
This will be stated on your current card.
What happens if I don’t renew on time?
You will revert to pay as you go.
Am I tied into a contract?
No. You can leave your Plan and revert to pay as you go at any time. And you can join or re-join at any time.
Can I upgrade or downgrade to another Plan?
Yes. If you’d like to do more (or fewer) classes per month you can switch to another Plan.
Can I attend daytime and evening classes?
Are parent and toddler classes included in the Plans?
Yes. Only classes taught by outside instructors (eg Yoga and Pole Dance Fitness) are excluded.
How much do classes cost on pay as you go?
£4.00 or £3.00 for a 30 minute express class.
